Kamri's 1st Doctor Visit...

Last Friday I took Kamri to the doctor with me. We haven't told her any details and so I just tried to make this like a routine visit in her eyes.
.....So after about 1 hour, and 45 minutes in the waiting room (yes, you read right!) we got to go back. She was wonderful in that wait time... magic markers and Brain Quest kept her busy while I got to visit with a highschool friend I hadn't seen in years.
.... Then came the questions, "What are you doing?!?!... Why are you peeing in a cup??? Isn't that messy?" My answer: "The doctor has to make sure everythings ok and I don't have any bo-bo's down there, ya know." "oh yeah, mom" No big deal.
... Then we went through the nurse's station to our room and after another 30 minute wait she got pretty antsy. Well, I can't blame her I was pretty antsy and starving myself.
...When the nurse came in she asked me if that was the doctor. Well, when the nurse left, K asked me if my doctor was "black or yellow". I acted like I didn't know what she meant and she said, "you know mom, I saw a doctor out there who was yellow, you know yellow hair like you, mom." Through the eyes of babes! Here are the pics from our 1st doctor visit together.

Updates for the month!

I got to hear the heartbeat last week. It is so amazing to me, the way God designed us. The heartbeat was 166 beats per minute!

I'm wearing maternity clothes... for about the past week now. I found the coolest invention though, if I still want to wear some of my regular pants.... With my "bella band" I can wear my pants unbuttoned and the band just keeps them put and can look like an under shirt sticking out. It's cute and so useful! It can also be used with maternity pants that may be a tad big right now, to keep them up.

"You've Got Mail!" I got good mail this week and felt so special. Lacie sent me an adorable onsie...

I should have had that one with Kamri!
Thank you, Lacie!

So Pat is saying all the time, "watch out for mommy's tummy" when Kamri is jumping around. We haven't told her the details yet, so she just thinks I got a tummy ache... So she keeps saying things to me like, "Mommy, I'm sorry you're tummy's sick.... I know... maybe you ate too much candy!"
I love to hear her thoughts on things!
